Daily Activities
Every student has their own working space with, at least, one PC or terminal, in a room shared with other students. Other AHC facilities
can be found
here.
Weekly Activities
- Labs Seminar
- Each student is sheduled to give presentation in Labs Seminar once in a semester.
- Total time for each student would be approximately 1 hour, including 30 minutes presentation and 30 minutes Q&A.
- The presentation slides are uploaded through the lab wiki.
- Book Reading
- Books:
- C.M. Bishop, "Patern Recognition and Machine Learning" (Every odd year)
- D. Mackay, "Information Theory, Inference, and Learning Algorithms" (Every even year)
- Each student is sheduled to present one part of book's chapter.
- The presentation slides are uploaded through the lab wiki.
- Groups Meeting
- Each group is sheduled to have meeting at least once a week (1-2 hours).
- These meetings may include paper readings and weekly progress report.
- Through this meeting, the students will receive immediate feedback from the faculty.
- The minuted meeting and report slides are uploaded through the labs wiki.
- M1 Study Group
- There are internal lectures for M1 students given by M2/D students or faculty.
- These lectures mainly cover basic introduction of some technologies used in AHC lab.

Yearly Activities

Summer Camp
Every summer, we will have intensive two-days summer camp outside laboratories.
In full days, we will have seminar-style discussions, and question and answer sessions. Evening activities will include socialization between students and faculty.
We did at Saga-Arashiyama (Kyoto) on 2011, Ohara (Kyoto) on 2012, Osaka on 2013, and Biwako (Kyoto) on 2014.

Winter Camp
Every winter, we will have ski-tour winter camp. There won't be any meeting in winter, only relax and learn ski/snowboard.
